HI, MY NAME IS ANNIE
I didn’t realize it for a while, but gardening was meant for me. I grew up in a small Southern Oregon town on a cranberry farm, and my contribution was to mow and weed-eat. That’s it. Then in college, I took short “tours” of my sister’s backyard garden.
After moving to Portland and starting a small garden in my backyard, my interest grew. Flash forward 12 years and my own garden business was formed, and I couldn’t be more at home and in my element.
Watching the eb and flow of the growing season, I continuously witness the evolving look and shape of a garden. I am fulfilled when the work I put into an edible space results in nutritious food for my family. I find joy watching the birds and bees move through a garden, giving and taking from all the flowers and life I’ve facilitated. Above all else, I enjoy working with the soil and seeing a plan come to life.
I started Garden Design PDX as a way to do what I love, and now I get to create beautiful spaces for you and your loved ones to enjoy, and THAT fulfills me. I hope you get as much joy from my work as I do.

Once I’ve finished the design, we move right into the project phase. As a licensed contractor, I work closely with each client to make sure the design is carried out with every T crossed and I dotted.
